Following up the accreditation status given by The Green Climate Fund(GCF) in December 2016, PT SMI and GCF sign the Accreditation Master Agreement (AMA) on Friday, 28th of April 2017 in Nusa Dua Bali in opening session of the High Level Meeting of GCF First Structured Dialogue with Asia. The AMA was signed by Clifford Polycarp as the Director for Country Programming of GCF and Darwin Trisna Djajawinata as the Director for Advisory and Project Preparation of PT SMI. This important moment was witnessed by Prof. Suahasil Nazara, the Head of Fiscal Policy Agency, Ministry of Finance the Republic of Indonesia and Ambassador Howard Bamsey, Executive Director of GCF, in front of audiences from various countries in Asia.
With the signing of the agreement, PT SMI could submit project proposals for accessing GCF fund to develop green infrastructures in Indonesia particularly for tackling climate change issue.
In the GCF First Structured Dialogue with Asia, PT SMI had opportunity for sharing knowledge and experience to more than 150 participants representing NDA, NAE as well as observer from around 30 countries on accreditation process and GCF projects pipeline. Beside, PT SMI held several bilateral meetings with relevant partners to build strategic alliance and cooperation to access GCF fund.
In addition, PT SMI also provided input in the national workshop of Country Programme Development which was organized by Fiscal Policy Agency, Ministry of Finance and attending by various stakeholder representing the government, private sector and Civil Society Organization.
