Synergy between PT SMI and Dompet Dhuafa to Support the Achievement of SDGs in Indonesia
West Sumatera is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has the potential for wealth of New Renewable Energy (NRE) resources. This can contribute to maintaining energy security, both on a local and national scale.
In support of this, PT SMI distributed financing facilities to PT Optima Tirta Energy (OTE), for the construction of the Tongar Mini-hydro Power Plant (PLTM) with a capacity of 2x3 MW in West Pasaman district, West Sumatera.
The synergy in the construction of this IDR 200 billion project was realized through the signing of an agreement between PT SMI and PT OTE on Wednesday (7/9) at the PT SMI office by:
1. Financing & Investment Director of PT SMI, Sylvi J. Gani
2. President Director of PT OTE, Djohan Halim
3. Director of PT OTE, Wataru Yoshio
This support is expected to contribute to the improvement of the NRE mix in Indonesia, as well as equitable distribution of infrastructure development outside Java as a form of national economic recovery efforts.
